D'you know how tempted I am to do some sort of Christmas family reunion type thing with Ted's brother? (Who I have yet to decide on a name for. Alvin, Simon, or Dave.)
...Question is, do I include the mechanical family members, or just let Ted's brother boggle over Booster and Junior?
And is the brother older or younger? Married or single? A father or no?

Oh, I had a thought the other day about Booster and his mad hacking skillz. Does he know who Oracle is? Because if not then maybe he could notice that oracle is spying on Ted and then hack her system. Just an idea.

No no! Married! Younger! When did he get a brother? Full on bro, or half-brother, or what? I vote for a different mom.

Because a guy who thinks he has a normal life should have to interact with these people. I forgot to mention that.

*grumbles, roots around for The Damn Book* Hokay, got it. One panel in Countdown to Infinite Crisis is, as far as I've been able to determine, the only mention of Ted's brother. Anywhere. Ever.

And my brother as I head off to the prom. Without a date. I hear him--laughing. --Ted's emo internal monologue in CtIC

This is right after Ted goes fanboy on Superman and Hal Jordan, and right before the Madmen attack him. (Followed immediately afterward by reintroduction of Booster! Yay, Booster! With his pretty laser and shiny ass and gay love for Ted!)
So...yeah. Only mention of the brother. And now according to Mullet-verse canon, Ted's related by blood to this brother and has had him since he was at least fourteen (though logically, it'd be longer than that).

"Do you trust that kid?"

I've got plans! ...Kinda. Sorta. *hangs head* Okay, so they're vague, half-formed notions. But still! I have 'em!

I do wonder if this was a little like DC randomly deciding that Jakeem should find out he ahd a brother by having his ghost show up, but maybe there was a plot once in one of the BB books. Hm.

Just wanted to say that I've watched my first two episodes of JLU today and thought 'OMG! GB love!!! Must find SLAAAAAAAAASH!' and I'm moer than happy that someone is writting fics on him. No idea who Mr Ted is but I'm willing to learn :D *thumb up* *goes to read*

I have...suggestions. Just because some of these might be difficult to figure out plots for.

47: Heart Something about Ted going to the doctor's and finding out that his being brought back to life fixed his heart problem. Conversely, Junior's first broken heart...not over a person, per se.

50: Spade Booster decides to do some gardening and unearths something odd/weird/wtf in the backyard.

29: Birth Umm...Junior becomes a Daddy? With Goldie? Or, you know, some nontraditional way, which seems to fit Mulletverse canon.

18: Black Booster dies his hair back to its original color.

75: Shade Wasn't Shade a villain?

WTF14: Pornstars Someone's making amateur ponr of people in Justice League costumes. Someone goes undercover to stop them.

88: School Junior's first day at schoool, and all the problems he causes.

WTF27: Booster and Beetle go on vacation and forget Junior, a la Home Alone. You can't tell me the thought of Junior wreaking havoc on some poor burgulars doesn't make you smile. :)

Since I'd already decided this was going to happen, and I already used "Birth," uh...here's fic.

"OW! Sonuva--Jeez."

Stumbling away from the tiny spike that had suddenly extended from the previously dormant machine, Junior watched it retract with a smear of his blood covering it. And unless he was mistaken, there was also a short blond hair hanging from it. The spike must have picked the hair up off his shirt when it poked through it to get his blood.

A strange sense of deja vu crept over him as the sound of technology starting up reached his ears.

Junior had been chosen for the dubious honor of exploring the abandoned laboratory because dark, dank, creepy abandoned laboratories that had previously been used for questionable purposes didn't bother him. To be perfectly honest, he felt quiet at home there and eager to look around, though he didn't intend to tell anyone for fear he would be put on "mad scientist watch." (Which was like a suicide watch but with more science and less suicide.)

Dr. Bobby was there because Junior had enthusiastically roped him into it without listening to his protests. And because some of the higher-ups had enough sense not to let Junior Carter-Kord loose by himself in a lab that used to belong to a supervillain.

And now, after they had split up to explore different rooms, Junior had somehow managed to turn on a machine that did who-knew-what and had already taken a blood sample for that who-knew-what.

"Oh crap," Junior muttered to himself, just before a console in front of a vertical glass tube lit up. Hoping for some idea of what the machine was for, Junior walked over and started looking the console over.

There was a faint whooshing sound and the glass tube suddenly started filling with liquid. Once it reached the top, a faint light shone from somewhere in the equipment above it and the liquid started bubbling.

"Oh crap," Junior whispered, even more anxious to figure out what was going on. The console appeared to be showing two different sets of DNA, and when he looked closer his heart sank to his vomited-lime green shoes.

If there was anyone's DNA that he recognized, it was his own. As it happened, he could also recognize several other people's DNA by sight and this happened to be one of them.

According to the console, they were being combined.

Feeling a little numb, Junior tapped the comm in his ear and cleared his throat. "Goldie? Babe? Sweetie?" He paused as she replied. "No, I didn't do any--Well sort of, but by accident."

Eyes fixed on the softly lit tube, he murmured, "Remember when you said we weren't having kids until I figured out how to like, carry them myself?" A pause. "Um...not quite. You should uh--" His voice cracked and he swallowed before continuing. "You should probably like, get over here. Max can give you directions."

Listening to Goldie's soft, concerned voice, Junior shook his head. "No I'm fine, I just...My folks are never going to, like, let me live this down." Goldie asked something else and his mouth tilted up in a faint smile. "Just get over here, babe."

Suspicious, Goldie agreed and ended the connection. Alone in the room, Junior glanced at the console again as it scrolled through his and Goldie's DNA, picking and choosing what he presumed to be the genetic information that was most likely to create a strong, healthy offspring.

His parents had been pretty clear that this was most definitely not the way to make babies. But...there had always been a nagging doubt, a worry, in the back of Junior's mind that because of the way he had been..."born," he might not be capable of having children the normal way. That he was a human mule.

There had never been any scientific proof to back that up, but he had still worried.

Sinking to his knees, Junior reached out a shaking hand to touch the side of the tube. It felt warm.

It felt alive.

"I'm gonna be a daddy," Junior whispered, as tears slid around his awed smile.

"I'm gonna be a dad."

Actually,maybe one of those things where people keep switching bodies.I'm picturing a Batman/Supergirl switch with Bruce threatening to squish someone with a car.
